We welcome you to take part in the 7th Annual Remembering Teresa 5K Run/Walk. This event is designed to bring awareness to domestic violence and the effects it can have on a community. The money raised at this event will be used to provide a scholarship in honor of Teresa to a high school graduate interested in the nursing field and to support the local domestic violence shelter.

Teresa Williams

Teresa was our friend, co-worker, mom, cousin, and daughter. On July 22nd, 2009, Teresa was home with her daughter when her estranged husband shot her and fled the scene. The aftermath of this evil has been wide spread and the healing is slow and difficult.  Teresa is remembered every day by family and friends for her smiling face, laughter and amazing presence. We not only have family and friends that help plan this event, but also people who understand the importance of putting an end to domestic violence.  We are so passionate about supporting the local domestic violence shelter and their efforts to educate and support victims. We will continue to honor Teresa's memory with the Remembering Teresa 5k Run/Walk annual fundraiser.
